Thompson we do not agree with our senators and congressmen and do not support the continued occupation of Iraq or the war
in Afghanistan. Americans should not have to pay for rebuilding an area that was destroyed by Soviet bombs during
the Reagan- Bush Era.
The logical grounds for why we do not support this war is that small engagements like
the first Gulf War and the Peacetime military spending under the Reagan Bush Administration had a beneficial effect only because
expectations of people around the world remained positive about the prospects for global peace. Rational expectations
is a large part of the Monetary policies at the Federal Reserve and with interest rates low lowering an interest rate will
not have any positive effect on the economy. T-bills are not an attractive buy for our European partners not even China
or the former Soviet Union. Therefore higher taxes or more debt and a potential devaluation of the American dollar is
to be expected. This strain the economy even more may cause even more problems to be sure. Today, the war has created severe
externalities and we had hoped that the Obama Administration would have kept its mandate to bring the troops home without
just shifting fronts to Afghanistan. All these events make running a business difficult
and even Peace itself. We encourage you to write your congressional representatives and Senators to remove the forces from
these regions at once. This nation is a representative democracy, and this republic cannot exercise leadership in business
and foreign affairs it expectations are negative towards the campaign itself.
