Valley Plastics Company was founded in 1978 as an independently owned plastics product development and plastics sheet, rod, and tube manufacturing company.  Systems Alternatives developed and patented the benchmark technology-Plexiglas Protective Computer Covers. Kuebler made the prototype after 6 years of employment at Valley Plastics Company.  The first commercial dustproof computer covers technology were offered in 1991.  Implementation of the technology removed the threat of dust damages in a number of industries. Many firms copied the design like Envirosafe Technologies, where firms like Clean-air capitalized on an injection molded clear acrylic box which has a Design Patent (no claims). Both competitors lack the broadest patent protections that were established in the claims portions of 5163870. However, the hinged doors on the Dustshield and Cleanaire plastic products are where novelty rests if any. Not much in our opinion

In 1997 patent rights were sold in an agreement that included global licensing rights to Kuebler & Company.  That license agreement gave Kuebler & Company the right to manufacture 5163870 the computer covers.  Additionally, rights were sold to Thompson Plastics in 2006 as all parties agreed that friendly competition would enhance business. Inquiries with regard to potential development of new products are invited as well as prospective buyers of computer covers.
